Sherry Simpson's

Sherry Simpson's newest collection of essays, The Accidental Explorer: Wayfinding in Alaska, was published this spring by Sasquatch Books, which published her first collection, The Way Winter Comes. She is finishing a book on relationships between bears and people in Alaska for the University Press of Kansas. Her essays have appeared in numerous journals, magazines, and anthologies, including Creative Nonfiction, Pilgrimage, The Alaska Quarterly Review, Blue Mesa Review, Great Writers on the Great Outdoors, In Fact: The Best of Creative Nonfiction, and American Nature Writing. She teaches creative nonfiction writing in the M.F.A. program at the University of Alaska Anchorage and in the Rainier Writers Workshop, a low-residency M.F.A. program at Pacific Lutheran University.
