Judith Schnell

Judith Schnell began her publishing career 27 years ago when she joined Stackpole Books as an editorial assistant. She was named editor in 1981 and editorial director in 1989. Now publisher of Stackpole Inc., she oversees editorial, sales and marketing, and design and production for Books and Magazines. Stackpole Books is a trade publisher specializing in nature, outdoor sports, crafts, history, military reference, and regional topics. The company publishes 130 titles a year and has a backlist of 1500 titles. Judith earned her B.A. from Connecticut College and is a graduate of the Stanford Publishing Program. She lives with her husband in Mechanicsburg, Penn.
