Nancy LordNancy Lord is the author of six books and has published widely in journals and magazines. Her three short story collections include Survival and The Man Who Swam With Beavers; one story in the latter book won a Pushcart Prize in 2003. Her creative nonfiction books are Fishcamp: Life on an Alaskan Shore, Green Alaska: Dreams from the Far Coast, and Beluga Days: Tracking a White Whale’s Truths. She has an M.F.A. in creative writing from Vermont College and has received two individual artist’s fellowships from the Alaska State Council on the Arts, a Rasmuson artist fellowship, and numerous fellowships at artists’ colonies and residency programs. She is an adjunct professor at the Kachemak Bay Campus of Kenai Peninsula College-UAA and has taught as a visiting professor in the graduate writing program at UAA and, in 2007, at Bowling Green State University.
