Emily WallEmily Wall is a poet and assistant professor of creative writing at the University of Alaska Southeast in Juneau. She is also the faculty advisor and editor for the Southeast Alaska literary journal Tidal Echoes. She earned her MFA from the University of Arizona. Her graduate thesis was a short book of poems titled Toward Juneau. She is currently editing a manuscript of poems that reflect her life living aboard and cruising the coast of British Columbia and Southeast Alaska. Emily has been published in a wide variety of literary journals and has won several poetry prizes. Her first book, Freshly Rooted, came out in 2008 with the Irish press Salmon Poetry. She has also had work published in several anthologies, including poems in the recently published book Salmon: A Journey in Poetry.
