Peggy Shumaker

Peggy Shumaker’s new book of poems is Toucan Nest. Her lyrical memoir is Just Breathe Normally. Professor emerita at University of Alaska Fairbanks, she teaches in the Rainier Writing Workshop MFA Program.  Shumaker is the editor of Boreal Books, publishing literature and fine art from Alaska, and series editor for the Alaska Literary Series at University of Alaska Press. She served as the Alaska State Writer Laureate from 2010-2012.
